Cornish Fairings, this week's unique taste to try

Thin, crispy with a delicious ginger spiciness, our Cornish Fairings biscuits are made according to a recipe handed down from generations.

Cornish fairings

The name 'Fairing' comes from a present bought at the fairs which were held every year at Whitsuntide and Corpus Christi - a little gift for a loved one or a sweetheart consisting of a gingerbread, sugared almonds, cinnamon sticks or macaroons. Cornish through and through, Fairings should be gently spicy, crunchy and very moreish. These uniquely comforting biscuits have a taste that is right out of Cornwall, making you feel like you are actually there with every bite. Using ginger, cinnamon, coriander and pimento to give that warmed, spiced taste (the rest is their little secret!), Furniss is the only bakery licensed to hold the trademark for The Original Cornish FairingTM. A favourite for over 100 years, Cornish Fairings are a core element in our coffee morning and afternoon tea hampers, which are great Christmas gifts to share with the office, friends and family. Who doesn't love a biscuit; one of the greatest little pleasures in life!?
