Hay Hampers’ Design Competition wants to honour Talented Artists & Design Students

 

 

THE COMPETITION

 

The aim of this competition is to attract original artwork for a greeting card, which will be used exclusively by Hay Hampers to print their customers’ messages on and include in their gifts.

 

Theme: \"Winter and its festivities\". It is desirable (but not essential) to avoid references to any specific festivity to be respectful of all beliefs. The card should represent Hay Hampers’ ethos - A small family business with four guiding principles: Freshness, Sharing, Authenticity and Trust.

 

Card format: Folded A5 4pp A6 (Half Fold).

 

PRIZES

 

Stars of Christmas in wicker basket (worth £165.00), delivered to an EU address.

A weekend (2 nights) at the beautiful B&B Orto Alpino in the Dolomites (Italian Alpes, two hours away from Venice).

 

HOW TO ENTER

 

You must enter online here (or to [email protected]). All entries must be submitted as digital files.

There is no limit to the number of entries you may submit.

 

The competition is open to artists, designers, illustrators and graphic students anywhere in the world. Entrants must be at least 16 years old.

 

Image requirements for entries: Your Artwork should be a portrait orientation image file saved as .jpg or .png, and should be under 2MB to ensure proper uploading.

All entrants should be prepared to be able to send a high resolution print-quality replacement file should their entry be among those selected as a winner.

 

Only original artwork, conceived and created by the entrant, will be considered. “Original” means that if a design is based on photos, the photos were taken by the artist or the artist has written permission from the photographer to use the photos. Hay Hampers reserves the right to request proof of photographer’s written permission.

Your Submission must not be obscene or offensive, refer to or include any political, religious or sexual topic, weapons or violence, or any charity or commercial brand.

By entering this competition, you accept that if you win you grant to Hay Hampers a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to all copyright and rights in the nature of copyright which you are or may in the future be entitled in any part of the world, to use and reproduce your Submission in publicity, advertising, and on merchandise available for sale to the general public. By \"irrevocable\" we mean that this licence cannot be changed. By \"royalty-free\" we mean that you do not receive royalty payments for this licence.

 

DEADLINE

 

10th November 2019 at 11:59pm GMT

The deadline at which time you are entering is also the date that all related materials (when applicable) must be shipped.

Hay Hampers does not accept any responsibility for network, computer hardware or software failures of any kind, including (without limitation) those which may restrict or delay the sending or receipt of an entry.

 

JUDGING AND NOTIFICATION

 

Entries will be judged by a team of experts and a winner will be selected. All properly prepared entries will be viewed and judged. The decision of the jurors is final. Hay Hampers reserves the right to disqualify entries if they are contrary to these terms or the spirit of the competition.

 

The winner will be notified by Monday 11th November 2019. Non-winning entrants will not be individually notified of the results.

 

There is no entry fee. However, all costs incurred by you relating to your Submission and this competition are your personal responsibility. There are no refunds for any entries including those which are submitted that are ineligible or submitted after the entry deadline.

 

If you win the prize, you agree that Hay Hampers may use your name, image, town and country of residence to announce the shortlisted candidates and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes.

All personal data submitted in relation to this competition shall be processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

These terms are governed by English law and any disputes arising in connection with this competition or these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
